Why Not Balance Boards For Seniors
Why should the youth have all the fun and benefits of balance boards? They may enjoy these boards more but lately dads of these youths are trying their skill sets on these boards too. As seniors age they no longer do the daring feats of athletic leaps and such as their children, but it doesn’t have to be so gloomy for these baby boomers. That is why seniors are seeing the benefits of balance training just as much as bragging about their golf’s low handicap. In fact balance training exercises are indeed helping lower those golf scores.
A good place to start for baby boomer fitness are rocker boards. True not as exciting as cool balance boards that show off colorful graphics but if they start a balance fitness workout there isn’t a reason they can’t make the leap to a much more fun balance product like an Indo board. If a senior is out of shape and a little shaky on his feet start by holding on to a stationary object until your leg muscles get stronger.
Balance exercise equipment will improve a person’s motor skills, overall coordination and develop strength in the lower body. All this helps a user avoid injuries due to falls. Wobble boards are another type of balance trainer that can be used right in the comfort of the home. Balance boards for seniors are not so far fetched. Ask your kid for one for a birthday gift. And if he gives you the standard tie go out and buy one yourself. After all you deserve it.
